Moulsham High School

Moulsham is a high performing secondary school and sixth form of 1600 students. At a first glance, it looks like your usual school campus with excellent facilities and dedicated staff.

Look closer and you'll find something more unusual, but which is increasing in popularity across the UK and Europe; students are represented by AV1 telepresence robots, which help the school and Bridge Academy Trust tackle persistent absence.

When traditional methods fall short, AV1 is an invaluable tool for pupils to thrive in their education during long-term absence for reasons such as:

• Medical needs
• Mental health (anxiety and EBSA, using their inclusion room)
• Behaviour (accessing lessons through AV1 from their isolation room)
  

We joined Moulsham for a couple of days to speak to their students, teachers and senior leadership about what it's like using AV1 day-to-day and were amazed by what we learned. Watch the video above to see for yourself.
