Persistent absence and the risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) remain significant challenges for post-16 settings. Learners dealing with long-term medical conditions, severe anxiety, or emotionally based school non-attendance (EBSNA) face complex barriers when transitioning to, and sustaining attendance in, sixth forms and further education colleges.
At this crucial educational stage, fostering independence and self-directed learning is key. Post-16 leaders need practical, mature, and high-impact solutions that empower older students to stay engaged with their A-Level or vocational courses without adding heavy administrative burdens to lecturers and support teams.
The AV1 attendance and reintegration solution allows a young adult who cannot physically attend campus to join lessons, participate in group work, and maintain vital social ties from home or hospital. For student services and inclusion teams coordinating reasonable adjustments, it is technology that ensures learners aren't left behind, enabling them to successfully complete their qualifications and transition to higher education or employment.
This session is presented by No Isolation’s Customer Success Manager, Elliot Nolan. With extensive experience supporting educational transitions and inclusive practice, Elliot will share how the AV1 solution is being successfully deployed in mature environments like colleges, sixth forms, and higher education settings.
