As 2025 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank everyone who made this year so special: the school leaders, educators, local authorities, healthcare professionals, and support teams we’ve had the privilege to work with. Your commitment has ensured no child is left behind.
Thanks to your dedication, hundreds of pupils facing long-term non-attendance were able to remain part of their class and continue learning alongside their peers. Together, we’ve proven once again that inclusion is not only about helping children stay connected to their learning; it’s about community, participation, and the simple joy of being there.
In 2025, our AV1 telepresence robot continued to grow as a proven solution for inclusion: more than 4,000 robots now support pupils in 19 counties, across 2,500 schools. Together, they have enabled over 15,000 children to stay connected to more than 100,000 lessons they would otherwise have missed.

But beyond the numbers, the real impact of 2025 lives in the small, beautiful moments that capture the true spirit of AV1.
In Wirral, a student supported by the council’s inclusion team used his AV1 to take part in horse-riding sessions at an equine therapy centre – even “riding” on horseback through the robot. It was a moment of pure joy and connection for everyone involved.
In Northampton, Ezra, a 10-year-old boy receiving treatment for leukaemia, has continued to attend school and even “join” his rugby team through his AV1. The robot has travelled to football and rugby matches and has even been part of a scrum on the pitch.
And in Berkshire, six-year-old Rufus was able to experience a school trip to the museum through his AV1. While Rufus watched from home, his classmates brought the robot along, helping him feel included in a day he would otherwise have missed.

As we look towards 2026, our commitment remains the same: to make sure that no child facing school non-attendance is left isolated when they should be experiencing learning, growth, and friendship.
As our CEO, Morten Jørgensen, explains:
“Our mission is to help educators ensure learning and belonging for children who are unable to take part in classroom learning. The AV1 ensures access to high-quality learning and supports each student’s sense of belonging and social connection during periods of school absence.”
He continues:
“I wholeheartedly believe that AV1 is the most scalable and cost-effective alternative to in-class learning. Educators consistently tell us that it fits seamlessly into established teaching practices – and that it makes a real difference for the young people who need it most.”
As we close out the year, we wish you a peaceful and restorative holiday season. Thank you for the care, dedication, and compassion you’ve shown the children and young people you support every day 💚.
